Unter dem Dach des bvvp Baden-Württemberg sind vier Regionalverbände zusammengeschlossen.
Gemeinsam im Dachverband stellen diese Regionalverbände den mitgliederstärksten Zusammenschluss niedergelassener Psychotherapeutinnen und Psychotherapeuten in Baden-Württemberg dar.

Unter dem Dachverband haben die Regionalverbände ihre autonome Struktur erhalten. Das Markenzeichen der Regionalverbände im bvvp-BW ist die lokale Verankerung. Kein anderer Verband hat eine so intensive regionale Vernetzung und eine so enge Bindung an die Mitglieder. Der Erfolg dieser Struktur mit lokaler Präsenz zeigt sich in überzeugenden Wahlergebnissen bei Kammer- und KV-Wahlen in Baden-Württemberg.
Alle Regionalverbände sind außerdem in einem bundesweiten Dachverband, dem bvvp-Bundesverband der Vertragspsychotherapeuten zusammengeschlossen.
